Event Description:
Young Artist Competition
- Open to students and residents of eastern and central Washington, eastern and northern Idaho, and eastern Oregon.
- Entrance Fee: $35.00
- The competition will have two categories :
- Students attending high school (or home schooled) and younger than age 18 at the time of the application deadline
- College students ages 18 to 25 at the time of the application deadline. Neither can have won this award the previous year. The following additional stipulations for awarding this prize apply:
- Winners from 2014-2015 are not eligible.
- Winners (maximum of 2, ideally 1 winner from each category) will receive a cash prize of$1200 each plus a commemorative gift and the opportunity to perform twice or have his or her piece performed twice with the Washington Idaho Symphony in concert on January 28-29, 2017.
- Runners Up (maximum of 2, ideally 1 from each category) will receive a cash prize of $300each.
- All applications must be received by the Washington Idaho Symphony by Friday, November 4, 2016.
