Community members are invited to An Evening of History: Colonial Medicine with Donal Wilkinson on Thursday, November 30 at 5:30 p.m. at Moscow Public Library.
Donal Wilkinson is a local history enthusiast, who, in 2016, apprenticed under John Fisher, a leading expert on the medicine of the Corps of Discovery. The Corps of Discovery - commissioned by Thomas Jefferson - is the name of the unit that joined Lewis and Clark on their expedition.
Wilkinson will give a presentation about medicine practiced during colonial times and will display artifacts for the occasion, including a replica of the medical chest that Meriwether Lewis carried west. This is the second program in Moscow Library’s An Evening of History Series. Light refreshments will be served.
