Event Description:
The Moscow Police Department will be holding its 19th Annual Citizen Police Academy from January 16, 2019 to April 3, 2019. This course meets Wednesday nights from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Moscow Police Department's Briefing Room (118 E 4th Street) and provides an opportunity for citizens to learn and experience the law enforcement profession while enhancing communication lines to those citizens we serve and protect. Course topics include but are not limited to police history, the criminal justice system, patrol procedures, traffic & drug enforcement, criminal investigations, use of force, firearms training, and emergency vehicle operation.
Applications are now available at the Moscow Police Department Lobby from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, seating is limited. The deadline for receiving applications is Friday, January 4, 2019 by 5:00 p.m. Those interested in receiving further information may call Officer McKenzie Fosberg at 208-883-7054.
