Date: January 18, 2018
Time: 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM PST
Event Description:
"Celebrate Kindness in Action with Us – National No Name-Calling Week, January 15-19, 2018, is a week dedicated to ending name-calling and bullying in our schools and community. This week of awareness signifies, not only the importance of kindness, but actively adding kindness into every action. It is about being curious and compassionate about our differences and calling people the names they WANT to be called, avoiding slurs and stereotypes. Palouse Prairie Charter School students will be hosting a poetry slam at One World Café on Thursday, January 18th at 6pm. These poems tell their stories and communicate their messages of hope to end name-calling and bullying. Please stop by, snap your fingers and support these courageous students during this important time of awareness and the need for kindness in action. Palouse Prairie School will also be marching for kindness through downtown Moscow on the morning of January 18th so when you see them pass, be sure to smile, wave, march with them, and then pay that kindness forward. Together, with kindness and compassion, we can change the world!"
