Arbor Day: Plant the Palouse

  • Share:
Name: Arbor Day: Plant the Palouse
Date: April 26, 2019
Time: 12:30 PM - 3:30 PM PDT
Event Description:
Join PCD AmeriCorps members to celebrate Arbor Day with a quick lesson on riparian planting followed by work prepping for and planting native plants along stream banks! We'll meet at PCD to gather equipment and plants and then head out to a local project site. The restoration work we're doing will help improve soil and water quality throughout the Palouse and create habitat for our native species. Be sure to wear closed toed shoes and long pants, dress for rain or shine, and bring some water! The Palouse Conservation District's mission is to actively assist current and future generations of land managers (rural and urban) in implementing conservation practices by providing educational, technical, and financial assistance. The Palouse Conservation District works through voluntary, incentive-based programs to assist landowners and agricultural operators with the conservation of natural resources throughout the District.
