A reception on May Day, Sunday, May 1st from 1 to 3 pm opens the Art in Bloom exhibit at the Dahmen Barn in Uniontown.  This is a garden themed art show in honor of the forgotten holiday May Day that once was a widespread rite of spring in the United States.  This is a fun and colorful exhibit in a variety of 2D and 3D mediums featuring items for use outdoors and indoors: floral and garden inspired paintings in watercolor, pastel, oil and collage, jewelry and sculptural items made of glass, papier mache’ and metal by resident and invited artists.   The exhibit runs through May 29.
