Please join us for a book signing with Alice Finch. Finch is a renowned LEGO builder known for her largescale models. Her work has been featured in The Huffington Post, Wired, NPR, and The Seattle Times. Finch is kicking off this year’s Eureka! Palouse LEGO Big Build with an afternoon master class at Eureka! October 21 (open to the public). The Big Build happens from Oct 26-January 26, with open build times every Thursday and Friday (except holiday closures) after school and designated Saturdays. These builds are coordinated by UI architecture students and take place at Eureka! The build project this year is downtown Moscow. Kids ages 6-18 are eligible to sign up for the build. Visit www.eurekapalouse.org to register during our October sale! Finch started building with LEGO when her older son needed a building companion. She realized that building isn't just for little kids- it's creative, inspiring, and increibly fun for big kids too. Her first model was Hogwarts Castle which accidentally grew to be 400,000 bricks big in her LEGO room in Seattle, WA. She continues to build models both great and small. As well as collaborative projects, as she beleives there is great potential in using the brick to bring people together. Her work has been published in several books and she is a featured builder in the documentary, A LEGO Brickumentary.
