Event Description:
This evening we will have two guests!  Allison Milionis, author of "Horse Sanctuary", and Sue Jacobson, the program coordinator for People-Pet Partnership (PPP) and Palouse Area Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH).

Allison lives in Portland, Oregon where she teaches young riders the basics of horsemanship. She has written and produced programs for radio and at one time hosted Speaking of Animals for Portland’s independent station, KBOO. She is currently working on a multimedia project about the historical relationship between horses and humans around the globe.  Horse Sanctuary is a collaboration with photographer Karen Tweedy-Holmes. 

PPP and PATH, for which Sue as worked for 8 ½ years, are community service programs of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University.  These programs were founded in 1979 by Dr. Leo Bustad, CVM, a former dean of the veterinary college and a pioneer in the field of Human-Animal Interaction (HAI).
