BookPeople welcomes author Kate Carroll de Gutes of Portland, Oregon at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, September 12. de Gutes will read from her new essay collection “Objects in Mirror Are Closer Than They Appear,” the sixth and final book in Ovenbird Press's “Judith Kitchen Select” series of innovative literary nonfiction. Books will be available for sale and signing. Light refreshments will be provided; beer and wine will be available for purchase.
