BookPeople of Moscow welcomes LEGO artist and author Alice Finch of Seattle, Wash. at 10 a.m.., Saturday, October 21. Finch is a contributing writer in “LEGO Awesome Ideas” and “365 Things to Do with LEGO Bricks.” Books will be available for sale and signing.
The book signing is also the kick off to this year’s Eureka! Palouse LEGO Big Build with an afternoon master class at Eureka! Palouse Tinkering and Tutoring Center. Kids ages 6-18 are eligible to sign up for the build. Visit www.eurekapalouse.org for more information or to register.
Alice Finch is a renowned LEGO builder known for her largescale models. She started building with LEGO when her older son needed a building companion and quickly realized that building isn't just for little kids. Her first model was Hogwarts Castle, inspired by J.K. Rowling’s “Harry Potter” series, was 400,000 bricks. Her work has been published in several books and she is a featured builder in the documentary, A LEGO Brickumentary.
