Event Description:
Injury to the brain, including Stroke and Concussion, often produces dramatic changes in vision and perception. Double vision, loss of peripheral awareness, and spatial disorientation are just a few of the commonly reported symptoms.

Many people with brain injuury say that persistent visual discomfort experienced after injury is a primary obstacle to their recovery and return to active life. Vision therapy has proven to be a useful companion to physical, occupational and other therapies for TBI patients. 

In this lively, hands -on workshop, you'll learn how to assess and distinguis visual conditions that are often triggered by brain injury. You will distinguish visual condistion that are often triggered by brain injury. You will learn basic tests that reveal vision problems, have the opportunity to ask questions and understand the role of visual therapy in restoring patients to their best possible level of performance.
