Event Description:
Professor Barry Bilderback and UICI Instructor Yijin Wang will be presenting a collaborative musical presentation. The presentation is free and open to the public. “A Musical Weaving of Silk and Kente Cloth” is collaboration in cultural and educational exchange. Visiting Confucius Institute instructor and musical artist Yijin Wang and Dr. Barry T. Bilderback will highlight areas of Chinese culture, tradition, music, and language. Drawing from Bilderback’s work in Ghana and China, the Terra Cotta Warriors will serve as inspiration as the co-presenters musically unite to pay tribute to the 1962 meeting of Osogyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and Chairman Mao Zedong.
