Chinese Calligraphy Workshops 
Are you fascinated by the beauty and history of Chinese calligraphy? Try out a calligraphy workshop. You will learn basic calligraphy strokes and practice writing with water brushes and calligraphy ink. Workshops are once a week for three weeks from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
-May Workshop Dates: May 1,8,15
Workshops are limited to ten participants. RSVP to confuciusboise@uidaho.edu.
Location: Idaho Water Center in Boise, Room 348A

The second Wednesday of each month is our Chinese Movie Night in Moscow! Join us May 9 at 7:00 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. We welcome you to enjoy Chinese cinema with us at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre.

"Life After Departure of Lei Feng" 
"Life After Departure of Lei Feng" is a 1996 film that tells the tale of two close friends: Qiao and Lei Feng, a famous icon of commitment to China and its people. One day Qiao accidentally runs into a telephone pole while parking and the falling pole kills Lei Feng. Overwhelmed with grief and guilt, Qiao decides to commit himself to living life a kind manner and serving people whole-heartedly as Lei Feng did while he was alive.
 
Hot vegan popcorn and soft drinks are available for purchase at the Kenworthy’s concession stand.
