Each film will have a brief introduction by our visiting South China University of Technology instructor, Mrs. Jianhong Lu, who is a specialist in Chinese cinema and film culture. The audience will have the opportunity to discuss the film and its cultural significance at its conclusion. Admission is free and open to the public. Caught between the advance of civilization from the south and the nomads traditional enemies the marauding wolves to the north; humans and animals, residents and invaders alike, struggle to find their true place in the world.
