Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

The University of Idaho Confucius Institute would like to invite you to join us for our monthly Chinese Movie Night! Each film will have a brief introduction. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is set in the Qing Dynasty during the 43rd year (1778) of the reign of the Qianlong Emperor. The films centers around possession of a great and powerful sword, the Green Destiny. Skilled Wudang swordsmen and cunning warriors, including various pairs of Masters and students, face off to take ownership of the weapon. Loyalty, betrayal, hidden love, jealousy and plenty of artful duels will keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
