Date: January 18, 2017
Time: 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM PST
Event Description:
In a difficult economic climate Cherie Buckner-Webb chose to effect change in a new arena by running for public office. Elected to the Idaho House of Representatives in 2010 and the Idaho Senate in 2012 and 2014 by a wide margin, Cherie’s message in the Statehouse reflects the same collaborative and visionary goals she emphasizes in her life and work.   She is the founder and principal of Sojourner Coaching, “Supporting highly motivated women and men to navigate the waters of their lives with purpose.”  As a respected speaker she uses her voice to raise awareness about diversity, justice, inclusion and human rights topics. Cherie’s credo, “leave a legacy,” underscores her work in every area of activity and to that end she donates countless hours to a variety of community organizations.  Senator Buckner-Webb will be addressing Dr. King’s Dream, civic engagement, and the steps needed to create a united America.
