Event Description:
Firewise refers to a way of being, living, and doing that minimizes the risk of wildfire while preparing for its possibility. This workshop focuses on today's three-pronged approach to designing and maintaining landscapes to reduce ignition potential and flammability, and knowing how and when to evacuate safely. 

Instructor Yvonne Barkley earned a B.S. in Environmental Studies from Southern Illinois University and an M.S. in Forest Resources at the University of Idaho. She is currently an Associate Extension Forester with the University of Idaho's Extension Office.
