The first free concert in the Summer Plaza Concert Series, brought to you by Heart of the Arts, Inc. (HAI) managers of the 1912 Center in Moscow, will take place with a performance by the Community Band of the Palouse.
The Community Band of the Palouse is a 40-plus-member band that plays traditional marches, standard pops, and original works under the direction of its conductor Denise Snider. The ensemble, currently in its 42
nd year, is made up of regional performers ranging from talented high school students to professionals.
Food will be available for sale from MELA (a popular Farmers Market vendor), featuring authentic Bangladeshi food. Beer and wine will be available for purchase on the plaza. People are also welcome to bring their own picnic dinner. Concessions will be available starting at 5:30 pm and the band will play from 6 to 8.
The informal plaza setting makes this concert ideal for families and children of all ages. Concerts take place on the Pall Plaza of the 1912 Center, located at 412 E. Third Street, between Adams and Van Buren Streets in Moscow, Idaho. In the event of rain, the concert will be held inside the Great Room.
The Plaza Concert Series continues this summer with performances by Paradox on July 25
th, Henry C. and the Willards on August 8
th, and Yellow Dog Flats on August 22
nd.
