Event Description:
In honor of WSU Center for Civic Engagement - WSU CCE's Poverty Awareness Week and in partnership with Backyard Harvest for our November film screening of The Starfish Throwers, we are hosting a Food Bank Packaging Party! Join us as we repackage bulk foods such as beans, oats, and rice in smaller family-serving sized packages accompanied by recipes and other information. We will meet at the Customer Service desk at 6pm and package until everything is gone! All repackaged foods will be distributed to food pantries in Latah County following the event. All funds used to purchase this food have been donated by Moscow Food Co-op shoppers through our Food Bank Bag donation program.
