Photographs that tell dramatic stories about places will be on display at the Dahmen Barn in Uniontown October 1 through 25. Photographer Eric Demattos, who titled this collection “Forgotten Spaces”, will be at the opening reception on Sunday October 4 from 1 to 3 pm to discuss his work with the public. Eric moved to Washington in 2010 in pursuit of a Masters in Fine Art after completing his MFA at University of Idaho. The dramatic landscape of the Northwest was captivating and a huge inspiration to his work. Eric’s process involves visiting a place over a long span of time and getting to know a place, like you would a friend. From hundreds, sometimes even thousands of pictures taken, he chooses the one that is the truest interpretation of the place.
