Event Description:
#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. Following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, this year's #GivingTuesday will take place on November 27th and will kick off the giving season by inspiring people to collaborate and give back.
This year, Facebook is partnering with PayPal to match donations, a total of up to $7 million, to U.S. nonprofits on Facebook, and we want to take advantage of those matching dollars!

The Washington Idaho Symphony is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Ticket sales only cover 20-25% of our operating costs. Which means we rely on your support to continue to bring quality live performances to the Quad Cities area! We've accomplished so much already this season, including bringing on our new Executive Director and Music Director, partnering again with the Palouse Choral Society, and bringing musical performances to the Lewiston Downtown Art Walk. We've got much more planned for whats looking like a bright future! But we'll need your help to get us there.

About the Match
- Facebook and PayPal will start matching donations at 8:00am ET (5:00am PT) on Tuesday, November 27, 2018. The matching offer will expire when $7 million in donations is reached or at 11:59pm PT on November 27.
- Donations will be matched dollar for dollar on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Matching is available for any eligible US-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that can receive donations on Facebook.
- Donations up to $250k per nonprofit and $20k per donor are eligible to be matched.
