“There are no mistakes, just happy accidents.” ―Bob Ross
Register with friends or significant other to enjoy an afternoon of painting instruction and a flight of wine. This class is appropriate for all ability levels.
Aaron Cordell-Johnson will guide you in your exploration of painting with gouache. Gouache is a method of painting using opaque pigments ground in water and thickened with a glue-like substance, and it will be provided. If you feel more comfortable with another medium, you can bring it with you. Aaron will help you find your style of painting and help further develop that style. This will be accomplished through a series of demos, discussions, and obviously painting. Aaron hopes to give both individual and group critiques as you paint. Gouache, paper and brushes will be provided. If you have a painting board, please bring it to tape your paper to while you paint.
Aaron is a local artist who braves all kinds of inclement weather to find the best clouds the palouse has to offer. He can often be seen with with his easel on the side of country roads, capturing the beauty of the local landscapes and the dramatic clouds. He has shown his artwork nationally, and is widely collected by patrons of this region. He was also recently featured in the renowned Plein Air Magazine. Visit his website here.
