Hampton-Goodman Tribute

Friday, Feb. 24, features a special “Hampton-Goodman Tribute,” which honors the Benny Goodman Quartet, the group where festival namesake Lionel Hampton got his start. Attendees will enjoy a traditional versus contemporary presentation of the quartet’s pieces performed back-to-back.

The Friday concert also showcases a performance by the critically acclaimed vocal group New York Voices. Known for their close-knit voicings, inspired arrangements and unparalleled vocal blend, this group has brought its amazing talents to audiences and students around the world.

Series concert tickets go on sale Saturday, Nov. 19, and individual concert tickets go on sale Monday, Dec. 5. All concerts will be held in the ASUI-Kibbie Activity Center and will begin at 7:30 p.m. For tickets, call 208-885-7212.
