Reading by University of Idaho MFA Candidate & Hemingway Fellow, Max Eberts Max Eberts ,born in Washington, D.C.,grew up living overseas, primarily Europe, as a result of his father?s career as a military and foreign service officer. He received his BA from Rice University in art history and classics. He spent fifteen years in the corporate sector, most recently, before attending the University of Idaho, he worked as a client strategist in PricewaterhouseCoopers? Houston office, managing the development of white papers and proposals in both their energy and healthcare advisory divisions. He is presently working on a novel with the working title Berlin Stories, about a young expatriate living in Berlin before, during and after the fall of the Wall. Reading by Hemingway Foundation/PEN Award-Winner, NoViolet Bulawayo, Author of We Need New Names NoViolet Bulawayo won the 2011 Caine Prize for African Writing; was shortlisted for the 2009 SA PEN Studzinsi Award, the 2013 Man Booker Prize, and the 2013 Guardian First Book Award; was a finalist for the B&N Discover Great Writers Award; and was one of the National Book Foundation?s ?5 Under 35? in 2013. Her work has appeared in Guernica, The Telegraph, Callaloo, The Boston Review, Newsweek, and The Warwick Review, as well as in anthologies in Zimbabwe, South Africa and the UK. She was a Stegner Fellow at Stanford University, where she now teaches as a Jones Lecturer in Fiction. She was born and raised in Zimbabwe.
