Event Description:
Moscow Food Co-op Presents: History & Health Benefits of Medicinal Mushrooms with Robin Yeager

Robin Yeager has worked with renowned mycologist Paul Stamets and now travels on his behalf to educate and inform both the general public as well as working with professionals and researchers.

This seminar will tackle the following topics: the history and human use of mushrooms, how to source mushroom tissue samples in the wild, and how to use medicinal mushrooms to support a wide range of health concerns. It is designed to give community members a basic understanding of how, when, and why to use medicinal mushrooms or supplements made from medicinal mushrooms such as the Host Defense line to promote personal health and wellbeing. The informational seminar will close around 8pm with up to an hour for questions following. During this time Robin can address pieces of the seminar in more detail and is happy to answer more scientific/research-based questions for those working in mycology or in other areas.

A Special Discount will be honored at the Moscow Food Co-op for all attendees after the presentation on Host Defense products. Host Defense has been around since 1980 and specializes in a comprehensive product line of functional mushroom supplements for supporting natural immunity. The brand is family-owned and works hard to improve the health of the planet and its people, by employing environmentally-friendly practices. All of the HOST DEFENSE mushroom species are sustainably grown at the Certified Organic Fungi Farm in Shelton, WA by Paul and his top flight crew.
