Event Description:
The month of May means morel season! Join us on an active outdoor hike as we search under trees and logs for fungal treasure. If the weather cooperates, we should be able to find a variety of mushrooms and sac fungi including morels, false morels, and cup fungi!
This course, which emphasizes the diversity of mushrooms and other fungi that occur in the area, begins with an orientation that take approximately one hour and includes a slide show; after the orientation we will caravan to the site. Bring a sack lunch, appropriate field clothing, and collecting gear (bucket or basket, waxed paper or paper bags, and a knife).
Register by April 30!
