Event Description:
Moscow Chamber of Commerce members are invited to attend the Region II Legislative Forum on Wednesday, September 26th from 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the City Council Chambers, 206 E. 3rd St. This event is free and open to all regional chamber members, elected city officials, current legislators and legislative candidates. The event sponsored by the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Lewis Clark Valley Chamber.
The Agenda
8:30-8:35 – Chamber welcome.
8:35-9:25 a.m. – Dwight Johnson, State Administrator for Idaho Career & Technical Education.
9:30-10:15 – Panel discussion on local option sales tax. Panelists: Sen. Dan Johnson and City of Lewiston officials. 10:20-10:30 a.m. – break
10:35-11:20 – Urban Renewal in Idaho. Panelists: Bill Belknap, City of Moscow Community Development Director, Dave McGraw, Latah County Commissioner and Moscow URA Commissioner, and Brandy Sullivan, Moscow City Council and Moscow URA Commissioner.
11:25-11:50 – John Watts, Idaho Cham-ber Alliance lobbyist
11:50-noon – Wrap up.
