Name: Idaho Conservation League Advocacy Training, Getting Ready for the Idaho Legislature
Date: January 3, 2019
Time: 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM PST
Event Description:
The Idaho Legislature is getting set to convene for another session. The question is: Will you be ready?  Join Jonathan Oppenheimer, ICL’s government relations director, for an introduction to the legislative process, a discussion on priorities for the year and recommendations on how to best engage with your elected representatives. Some of the issues we anticipate for the upcoming legislative session include public lands, transportation, water quality, energy and wildlife. You’ll learn how to track legislation that impacts you, deliver effective testimony, contact your legislators and influence the legislative process. This discussion is open to everyone—whether you’re a registered lobbyist, or someone who's never attended a committee hearing. Join fellow ICL members and supporters for a discussion that will leave you feeling confident and prepared to make your voice heard.
