The next free concert in the Plaza Concert Series, brought to you by Heart of the Arts, Inc. (HAI) managers of the 1912 Center in Moscow, will take place on Monday, July 31st at 5:30 p.m. with a performance by Landrace.
Landrace is a young ska band, emerging from the college town of Pullman, WA. These young men who all study music at Washington State University have come together to play a variety of upbeat ska, reggae, and Spanish music that will get any crowd dancing. This band is all about entertaining when it comes to playing live shows, and releases a very fun and powerful energy when they are on stage. Landrace consists of a horn section, as well as bass, guitar, drums, and vocals.
Dinner will be available to purchase from MELA featuring authentic Bangladeshi food. Dessert cupcakes, cakes and cookies will offered by sale by Sweet Treats, with baker Mary Means. Beer and wine will also be available for purchase on the plaza. People are also welcome to bring their own picnic dinner. Concessions will be available starting at 5:30 pm and the band will play from 6 to 8 p.m. During intermission, people can take a tour of the unfinished upper floors of the 1912 Center. Tours will share the future renovation projects at the 1912 Center with the community.
The summertime concert series will finish with a performance by Thorn Creek Express on Monday, August 14th. Concerts take place on the Pall Plaza of the 1912 Center, located at 412 E Third Street, between Adams and Van Buren streets in Moscow, Idaho. In the event of rain, the concerts will be held inside the Great Room.
