Landscaping for Fire Protection

Name: Landscaping for Fire Protection
Date: March 24, 2016
Time: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM PDT
Event Description:
Every summer we see numerous media reports of homes in the woods being threatened by wildfires. Forest fires are a fact of life in the Inland Northwest. Homes located on forested lands (the "wildland urban interface") can be at high risk from forest fires.
Forest fires are often not easy to stop. But you can take action to reduce the risk of damage to your home from wildfire.
“Landscaping for Fire Protection” will help forest homeowners apply practical modifications to their houses and landscapes, making them less likely to burn and easier for firefighters to access.
