Event Description:
Every year at WSU, high school students from central Washington communities participate in a unique leadership program that combines writing, performance, and theatre as a way of enriching their educational experience and building skills that help prepare them for college. Working with a team of professionals, the students produce a high-quality evening of theatre, performed by the students themselves and based on their own lives. Each year's play is different, featuring new students with new stories to tell! "Las Memorias" is presented by the WSU College of Arts and Sciences in collaboration with WSU Performing Arts. Sponsored by Bob and Karen Felton. Directed by Mary Trotter. Playwriting by Benjamin Gonzales. Founded by John Fraire (executive producer, 2008-2014).
