Event Description:
Join the Latah County Historical Society for a free viewing of the movie A River Runs Through It. Bring a blanket to sit on, any movie snacks you like, and enjoy the show on Friday, September 9th at East City Park. Screening will begin at 7:00 p.m. For those that arrive early we’ll have a trivia game at 6:00 p.m., with questions from the book on which the movie is based. Prepare for the challenge by reading Norman Maclean’s classic novel, available at the public library. For the curious, there will also be fly casting and tying demonstrations by the Clearwater Fly Casters.
This event is made possible by the Idaho Humanities Council, D.A. Davidson, and the Clearwater-Snake Trout Unlimited Chapter #935. LCHS is hosting the event to raise awareness for the Smithsonian Traveling Exhibit, Water/Ways, opening December 2016.
