Name: LCHS Celebrates Local Historian Priscilla Wegars
Date: August 9, 2017
Time: 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM PDT
Event Description:
Please join the Latah County Historical Society as we celebrate the accomplishments of Idaho historian Priscilla Wegars, on Wednesday, August 9th at 7:00 p.m. in the backyard of McConnell Mansion. In addition to being the volunteer curator of the Asian American Comparative Collection at the University of Idaho, Priscilla has a Ph.D. in history from the University of Idaho and is an independent editor, historian, historical archaeologist, and artifact analyst. She was recognized earlier this year by the Idaho State Historical Society for her many contributions to the preservation of our state's history. The Esto Perpetua award is given each year to a handful of history enthusiasts who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to share their love for Idaho's history with others.

While Priscilla already received the award in Boise, we want to applaud this well-deserved accolade locally. Please join us for a reception and a "re-presentation" of the award. Stop by to congratulate Priscilla in person and enjoy some desserts and lemonade. This event is free and open to the public.
