League of Women Voters Present: Iron Jawed Angels

September 21 @ 6:30 pm | Free Join the Moscow League of Women Voters (LWV) together with the University of Idaho Women?s Center for a screening of a movie that portrays the important events that surrounded the American Women?s Suffrage Movement. The evening?s schedule includes: a 6 p.m. meet and greet with appetizers and no-host bar catered by Gnosh; a 6:30 panel discussion, ?Why your vote matters?; and at 7, the film will be shown. Additionally, Moscow LWV will be providing assistance with voter registration and information about LWV membership. Show times: September 21, 6:30 PM Film Synopsis Alice Paul and the women of the 1917 Women?s Suffrage movement fight for future generations right to vote and run for office. Sacrificing their health, marriages and the limited amount of freedom they had, women were imprisoned and force fed after picketing and hunger-striking against war-time president, Woodrow Wilson; but survived to see the results of their efforts. Tickets: Admission is free and non-perishable food items will be gladly accepted at the door on behalf of the Moscow Food Bank.
