Event Description:
Families with children are invited to participate in Libraries Rock!, the Latah County Library District’s Summer Reading Program! Summer Reading is underway with the following events happening across the District during the week of July 16–20.
Moscow Public Library Events:
Wednesday, July 18, 10:30 a.m. at Moscow Public Library: "Fairyopolis!" Families are invited to listen to a magical story and create a fairy house out of natural and recycled materials to place on the library grounds.
Branch Library Events:
Monday, July 16, 10:30 a.m. at Bovill Community Library: “Science Fun with Kitchen Chemistry!” Everyday items and kitchen ingredients will be used in cool experiments.
Wednesday, July 18, 1:00 p.m. at Genesee City Park: "Animals that Rock!" Genesee Community Library will host a presentation at Genesee City Park by Idaho Fish and Game on animals that live in rock habitats.
Thursday, July 19, 10:30 a.m. at Troy Community Library: "Fiddles & Songs with The Binningers!" Local talent, Flora and Clem Binninger, will entertain with songs and fiddle music.
Thursday, July 19, 11:30 a.m. at Deary Community Library: "Animals that Rock!" Idaho Fish and Game present animals that live in rock habitats.
Friday, July 20, 10:30 a.m. at Juliaetta Community Library: “Slime Party!” Youth and their families are invited to make their own magnetic, foam, or regular slime! All supplies provided.
Friday, July 20, 11:30 a.m. at Potlatch Public Library: "Parade Props Maker Space!" All ages are invited to make props and Potlatch Days Parade float décor to use in the parade.
Registration is not required to attend events. Youth ages 0-18 can sign up for the Great Summer Reading Adventure, the online Summer Reading component, at lcld.northwestreads.org, or register in person at their local branch.
Participation in these programs is free and open to everyone.
