Event Description:
Clarkston author Paula Coomer, who believes in taking control of health by making informed food choices, will lead a day-long workshop at Artisans at the Dahmen Barn in Uniontown titled The Fun and Surprising World of Plant-Based Foods on March 25, then follow up with an evening workshop on March 29 on Gluten-Free Living.  The March 25 workshop will be held from 9 am to 5 pm and includes lunch plus morning and afternoon snacks from recipes in Paula's cookbook.  The cost is $85 with registrations required by March 21.  The gluten topic is from 6 to 9 pm on March 29 costs $45 with registrations required by March 27.  Registrations may be made online from the calendar listings for the classes at www.artisanbarn.org or by calling 509-229-3414.
 
Artisans at the Dahmen Barn is a non-profit creativity center in Uniontown on highway 195 in the big white barn behind the famous iron wheel fence.  The facility is handicap accessible and has no daily admission fee.  Winter hours are Thursday through Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm.  Regular hours begin March 1, staying open until 6 pm.
