A 6 part series on physical activity, exercise, and family health taught by Dr. Christopher Connolly, Kinesiology Professor and Director of the WSU Exercise Physiology & Performance Laboratory.
The postpartum period is an incredibly challenging time for many women, as they adapt to their new role as a mother and simultaneously cope with dynamic physiologic and hormonal changes. New mothers are potentially at risk for postpartum depression, a condition which is often overlooked in mainstream society. In this class they will discuss how regular exercise can help mothers cope with the challenges of the postpartum period and get them back on track to having a high quality of life.
