On the evening of Thursday, November 8, the Co-op will host three store tours, free of charge and open to all guests regardless of membership status. The Moscow Food Co-op is pleased to formally announce the completion of its store remodel. Guests at the Co-op now enjoy improved flow, expanded shelf space, and fewer out-of-stock items due to an improved interior design.
These store tours will showcase the ways in which owner equity made store updates possible. The Co-op will show off new fixtures such as the new cheese island, the new beer cooler — which holds nearly four times as much beer, cider, and wine as before — and the streamlined bulk department, which is now equipped with improved dispensers and nut grinders.
During these tours, guests will also meet and chat with members of the Co-op Board of Directors, which is currently seeking applicants for the 2019 Board election.
Tours leave at 5, 5:45, and 6:30 p.m. Guests will meet at the Customer Service desk near the Produce department.
Each stop on the tour will also include samples of Co-op products and food and drink by local vendors, and live music by Moscow locals The Mad Andersons.
The evening will conclude with a raffle for a Co-op-made cake, decorated in house by the Bakery department.
