Moscow Community Theatre Presents: The Comedy of Errors in Space

Show times: April 8 - 9, 7:30 PM April 15 - 16, 7:30 PM April 10, 2:00 PM Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors in Space tells the story of two sets of identical twins that were accidentally separated at birth. Set on a planet in a not so distant galaxy we follow Antipholus of Syracuse and his servant, Dromio of Syracuse, as they arrive in Ephesus, which turns out to be the home of their twin brothers, Antipholus of Ephesus and his servant, Dromio of Ephesus. When the Syracusans encounter the friends and families of their twins, a series of wild mishaps based on mistaken identities lead to wrongful beatings, a near-seduction, the arrest of Antipholus of Ephesus, and false accusations of infidelity, theft, madness, and demonic possession. Director Gordon Mellott takes this classic tale into a b-class sci-fi setting along with a cast of local actors featuring many young actors from Moscow High School. This production pays homage to all the classic movies and tv shows we all grew up with and creates a twist on classic Shakespeare to make it accessible to an audience of all ages. Comedy of Errors will be performed at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre in Downtown Moscow on April 8, 9, 15 & 16 at 7:30pm and April 10 at 2:00pm.
