Join us Saturday, July 20, for the Moscow Farmers Market on Main Street and in Friendship Square in downtown Moscow! The Market runs from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. May through October and features fresh produce, meat, homemade baked goods, healthy nursery plants, beautiful flowers, and quality handmade crafts.

Shop the Market with Backyard Harvest: Patrons receiving EBT or SNAP benefits are encouraged to visit the Backyard Harvest tent to participate in our Shop The Market program. Located by the clock and fountain in Friendship Square, patrons receive tokens to purchase fresh produce and other eligible items from vendors enrolled with this program.

WIC and SFMNP: Select Moscow Farmers Market vendors accept State of Washington WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) and SFMNP (Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program) checks. Checks may only be used to purchase fresh vegetables, fruit, and cut herbs. Seniors are eligible to purchase honey. 

Bicycle Benefits: The Moscow Farmers Market now offers a Bicycle Benefits incentive. Shoppers may purchase a Bicycle Benefit sticker for $5 at the Information Tent. Bike to the Market each week to receive an incentive. Show the sticker on your helmet to City Staff at the Information Tent and earn a $2 wooden token. Tokens may be used to purchase from Market Vendors. 

Programming: 

Live Performances. The Moscow Farmers Market hosts nearly four dozen scheduled concerts in Friendship Square each year, and features many talented local entertainers. The featured entertainment this Saturday is:

(9:00 – 10:00 a.m.) Festival Dance

(10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.) Soulstice

 

Where's Waldo at the Moscow Farmers Market. Waldo, the iconic man in the red and white striped shirt will be visiting the Moscow Farmers Market during the month of July. Participants may pick-up a Where’s Waldo Passport at the City of Moscow Information Tent or BookPeople of Moscow. Search for Waldo in the Market each Saturday in July, and receive a stamp at the Information Tent when you find his hiding location. Participants turn in their passports to BookPeople of Moscow at the end of the month for a chance to win prizes from participating locations. 

City of Moscow Commissions. Citizen based City Commissions will be featured at the Market throughout the season to share information on any special programs. This week will feature the Palouse Basin Aquifer Committee. 

Safe Routes to School. Safe Routes to School will be in Friendship Square offering information on how to complete a basic bicycle safety check.

Bell Brigade. Bell Brigade provides an opportunity for local youth groups, clubs, and organizations to ring the opening and closing market bells. Groups performing this community service are eligible to host an information tent at the market the day they participate in the Bell Brigade. The Moscow Farmers Market loves all furry companions, but only Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) service animals are permitted in the main thoroughfare with their owners. Emotional support animals are not covered by the ADA and are not permitted in the main thoroughfare with their owners. For health and safety reasons, we ask that all pets and non-ADA service animals limit their visit to the Market and if need be may utilize the pet-friendly sidewalks adjacent to Main Street and Fifth Street.

The Moscow Farmers Market is a nicotine-free event. No vaping, tobacco chewing, or traditional smoking is permitted.
