Programming:

Live Performances. The Moscow Farmers Market hosts nearly four dozen scheduled concerts in Friendship Square each year, and features many talented local entertainers. The featured performers this Saturday are:
(9:30 – 10:30 a.m.) Shiloh
(11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.) Gefilte Trout

Sustainability. Join Kelli Cooper, City of Moscow Sustainability Technician and AmeriCorps Intern, the first Saturday of each month from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to learn about ways to be more sustainable.

Safe Routes to School. Safe Routes to School will be at the Market the second Saturday of each month from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. offering bike education.

POP Club. This season will feature the POP Club (Power of Produce) where children ages 4 through 12 are welcome to visit the Moscow Farmers Market the third Saturday of each month from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to join the POP Club. Registration and check-in will be located at the designated POP Club booth at the Market.

The POP Club offers a chance for children to explore the Moscow Farmers Market and learn about the different varieties of fruits and vegetables, while also learning about how food is grown, by connecting them with local farmers.

A parent or guardian must attend POP Club events with their child.

POP Club is brought to you by the City of Moscow, the Moscow Farmers Market, Backyard Harvest, Eat Smart Idaho, and the Moscow Food Co-op. The POP Club program is offered through the Farmers Market Coalition, a nonprofit dedicated to strengthening farmers markets across the United States so that they can serve as community assets while providing real income opportunities for farmers.

Chefs at the Market. Chefs at the Market features local chefs and restaurateurs teaching their techniques using fresh Market ingredients. Join us on the last Saturday of each month at 9:30 a.m. to see what’s cooking!

University of Idaho College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. The University of Idaho College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) brings unique agricultural science activities for children ages 5 to 11. Saturdays in June, July, and August features the Summer of Science where CALS faculty experts and students introduce participants to topics like entomology, animal science, plant science, nutrition, food science, and more. Children can collect different items at each event to build their own science kit. Participants receive a passport on their first visit, and those who attend at least five events are entered into a drawing for prizes. During May, September and October, CALS will offer additional programs about research, teaching and extension activities.

The Moscow Farmers Market loves all furry companions. For health and safety reasons, we ask that non-ADA service animals limit their visit to the Market and if need be may utilize the pup-friendly paths on the sidewalks adjacent to Main Street and Fifth Street.

The Moscow Farmers Market is a nicotine free event. Please plan your visit accordingly.
