The Farmers Market is a popular Moscow tradition that was established in 1977. The Saturday morning event celebrates local farmers, artists, craftspeople and musicians by providing them with an opportunity to interact directly with the community and its visitors. Highlights include fresh produce, meat, delicious homemade baked goods, healthy nursery plants, beautiful flowers and quality handmade crafts. The market is located downtown on Main Street and in Friendship Square next to the Moscow Hotel. It is held each Saturday, May through October.
Join us Saturday, October 8th for the Moscow Farmers Market on Main Street and in Friendship Square in downtown Moscow! The Market runs from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. May through October and features live music, fresh local produce, delicious homemade baked goods, specialty food items, healthy nursery plants, beautiful flowers, and quality handmade crafts.
Music: Live music at Friendship Square will be provided by The Millwrights at 9:30 a.m. followed by Saticoy at 11:00 a.m.
Special Events: The Market will feature the Historic Preservation Commission from 9:00 to 12:00 p.m. by the fountain in Friendship Square.
A kids produce tasting featuring special guests from Eat Smart Idaho will be from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. by the City Tent (next to the fountain in Friendship Square). Kids will be tasting fruit and/or vegetables purchased from local farmers in the market.
Jessie Hunter, Director of Domestic Marketing, with the USA Dry Pea & Lentil Council will host a smoothie demonstration featuring a pumpkin spice smoothie with lentils from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. by the City Tent (next to the fountain in Friendship Square).
Chess at the Market with the University of Idaho Chess Club from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. near the Moscow Hotel. Enjoy the game while playing with giant 25” pieces!
Vendor of the Week: Affinity Farm from Moscow, ID. Product highlights include: arugula, beets, greens, carrots, herbs, radishes, heirloom tomatoes, garlic, and much more. Affinity Farm has been a vendor in the Moscow Farmers Market for fifteen years.
Shop the Market with Backyard Harvest: Area families can use EBT or SNAP benefits. Visit the Shop the Market booth at the City Tent, by the fountain in Friendship Square, to receive “Market Money” which vendors will accept for approved purchases.
WIC and SFMNP: The Moscow Farmers Market is now accepting WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) and SFMNP (Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program) checks.
Please remember that no animals, except for ADA service dogs, are allowed at the Moscow Farmers Market.
