Event Description:
Join us and help celebrate National Farmers Market Week at the Moscow Farmers Market. The main events will be on Saturday, August 12 starting at 10:15 a.m. with Mayor Bill Lambert reading the National Farmers Market Week Proclamation followed by a raffle drawing for great prizes donated by market vendors. Tickets for the raffle will be available for pickup at Moscow City Hall in the Arts Office (1st floor) Tuesday, August 8 through Friday, August 11 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and at the Market in the City Tent on Saturday, August 12 from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m.

The Moscow Farmers Market is a popular tradition that was established in 1976. The Saturday event celebrates local farmers, artists, craftspeople and musicians by providing them with an opportunity to interact directly with the community and its visitors. Highlights include fresh produce, meat, delicious homemade baked goods, healthy nursery plants, beautiful flowers and quality handmade crafts.
Additional events scheduled for Saturday, August 12 include:
- A produce tasting with the University of Idaho Extension, Eat Smart Idaho collaborating with the Moscow Food Co-op utilizing a human powered blender bike.
- University of Idaho College of Agricultural & Life Sciences continuing their Summer of Science Program with education for grades kindergarten through fifth.
- Moscow Farmers Market Commission sharing information about upcoming projects.
- University of Idaho Chess Club hosting table games and a giant piece chess set.
- City of Moscow Water Department sharing information about their rebate program.
- Live performances provided by Border Highlanders and The Working Poor.
