Moscow Food Co-op Presents: Just Eat It-A Food Waste Movie

So how could we possibly be throwing nearly 50% of it in the trash? Filmmakers and food lovers, Jen and Grant, dive into the issue of waste from farm, through retail, all the way to the back of their own fridge. In a nation where 1 in 10 people are food insecure, the images they capture are both shocking and strangely compelling. Just Eat It looks at our systemic obsession with expiration dates, perfect produce, and reveals the core of this issue that is having devastating consequences around the globe.\ Just Eat It brings farmers, retailers, inspiring organizations, and consumers to the table in a cinematic story that is equal parts education and delicious entertainment. The Co-op is teaming up with Latah Sanitation/Moscow Recycling and Backyard Harvest for a Fresh Food Drive so entry is FREE if you bring a fresh food donation. Otherwise, tickets are $4 for Co-op Owners with your card, $4 for students with an ID, and $6 for general admission.
