The Moscow Food Co-op(121 East 5th St.) has expanded its educational offerings to include a class series on the relationship between diet and mental health. The newest class in the Food and Mood series will be held on Saturday, June 15, at 4:30 p.m. in the 1912 Center’s Arts Workshop.
This class will be led by Dr. Isabel Gaila Barbuto (PsyD., MBA.) Dr. Barbuto brings a wealth of knowledge from her career as a psychologist and yoga teacher to this class series, and this session will cover the effects of stress on digestion and appetite, and the importance of daily stress reduction. The class will include an overview of mindfulness techniques and a guided meditation led by the instructor.
Tickets are available now for this classes at the Co-op’s website: www.moscowfood.coop/classes. All are welcome to attend. Class tickets are $5 for general admission and $3 for Co-op owners, with further discounts available for student owners and owners participating in the Co-op’s FLOWER program.
