Name: Moscow & the Lewis Clark Valley Chambers of Commerce: Legislative Forum
Date: September 26, 2016
Time: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM PDT
Event Description:
The Moscow and the Lewis Clark Valley Chambers of Commerce will hold a joint legislative forum discussing Idaho legislative issues on Monday, Sept. 26, at 1-4 p.m. at the Williams Conference Center on the west side of the Lewis-Clark State College campus.

The forum is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be available.

The forum will feature panel discussions on topics important to both chambers that the Idaho Legislature will likely address during its 2017 session, which starts in January. The three one-hour discussions will focus on Career Technical Education and job prospects, transportation with a particular emphasis on U.S. Highway 95, and economic development in the Moscow and Lewiston areas.  Panelists will consist of both area and state experts and each topic will end with a question and answer session.

Both chambers recently conducted membership surveys asking for the top legislative issues and the forums were formed based on the answers.

Prior to the legislative tour, a group representing the Idaho Career Technical Education office will be touring the LCSC campus, in particular the diesel technology and medical assistant programs. That tour starts at 10:30 a.m.
