Event Description:
Novella Carpenter, the author of the 2009 memoir, Farm City, will read from her just-released book, Gone Feral: Tracking My Dad Through the Wild, at Book People of Moscow.  In her book, Novella tells the story of her hippie parents, her feral father, and her own journey to become a parent.  

Novella grew up in rural Idaho and Washington State. She went to the University of Washington where she majored in Biology and English. She later studied under Michael Pollan at Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism for two years.  Her writing has appeared in Salon.com, Saveur.com, sfgate.com (the SF Chronicle‘s website), and Mother Jones.  Novella has been cultivating her urban farm near downtown Oakland, CA for over ten years.
