Event Description:
The 2012 London Olympics generated 99,982 hours of television coverage the equivalent of 11 years of uninterrupted broadcasting, and the resulting audience of 3.6 billion people made it the most watched event in TV history. The astronomical scope of the Olympics has been a focus of the internationally acclaimed author, professor and speaker Andrew Billings. Organized by the WSU College of Education and the Murrow College, Billings will be visiting Washington State University to discuss how the Olympics can render altered views of issues such as nationality, gender, and race, with a practical eye on NBC broadcasting.
