The Palouse Community Preparedness Fair MOSCOW, Idaho -- Local community organizations and individuals are pleased to present the 4th Annual Palouse Community Preparedness Fair on March 22, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The church building is located at 2600 W ?A? Street (behind Staples). This free, family-friendly fair will include over 20 displays, demonstrations, and booths featuring information to help individuals and families prepare themselves for emergencies and other adversities. The community is invited to come learn how to create a 96-hour emergency backpack, improve and utilize food supplies, dehydrate food, and talk on the amateur radio (HAM) network. Attendees will also learn about the plans community organizations have in place to help during emergencies, preparedness for pets, and how overall preparedness provides the security and confidence to withstand hardships. The list of participating organizations includes, but is not limited to: ? Moscow Police Department ? Moscow Fire Department ? Life Flight ? MedStar ? Humane Society of the Palouse ? North Central Idaho Fire Prevention Co-op ? Disability Action Center ? Latah County Disaster Services ? Whitman County Department of Emergency Management ? American Red Cross ? American Radio Relay League ? Inland Northwest Broadcasting ? National Weather Service Attendees may bring non-perishable canned and packaged food items for a food drive.
