Palouse French Film Festival: On My Way

A celebration of recent French and Francophone cinema returns for a fifth edition this fall, under a new name but with the same mix of fascinating films and university-community conviviality that audiences have come to expect. The Palouse French Film Festival is presented once again through the combined efforts of the language departments at Washington State University and the University of Idaho, and the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre in Moscow. Every Tuesday evening in October, Moscow?s downtown theater will be presenting the 2014 Palouse Festival, made possible with the support of loyal partner units at UI and WSU, as well as The Wine Company of Moscow. Films will begin at 7:00 p.m. On My Way/Elle s?en va Now in her early sixties, former beauty queen Bettie (Catherine Deneuve) finds herself jilted by her lover and left alone to deal with the financial problems facing her family?s restaurant. What begins as a quick drive to clear her head turns into a full-fledged road trip, and along the way there are chance meetings, an ex-Miss France gala, renewed ties with her estranged daughter and grandson, and possibly, at the end of the road, love.
